We had our little stereo going with a selection of ambient jazz and trance. It had became too dark to read comfortably so I hung the lantern on the boom. We were having a nice mellow evening enjoying the lake and this wonderful anchorage.

At around the point that I hung up the lantern on the boom to be able to read better a very loud boat with even louder music was slowly cruising down lake. When it was basically level with the opening of our bay it turned towards us for a spell, then stopped its motors and just drifted about 1500 feet away.

 

This was a boatfull of folks also out for a good time on this warm summer evening.
